Bogbain Farm, Inverness

If you're looking for something a bit more informal, in a rustic, romantic setting that's not too far from civilisation for your big day - then look no further than Bogbain Farm!

We pride ourselves in being able to organise events that make people feel special - with a number of weddings booked in the next year, we thought some readers of Scottish Wedding HQ would be interested to know about this new kid on the block!

Built in 1811 but in use since 1591, Bogbain commands spectacular views across the Moray Firth – it truly is the Gateway to the Highlands. The farm is a unique setting for any part or event – Bogbain has the ambience that can only be found in a 19th century farm building. From the imposing hand-built stone walls, to the wooden rafters to the stone and, in some parts, cobbled floors, Bogbain is a boutique venue all on its own. It provides the ideal space to give your event a sense of something special.

The Barn
A great space for sit down meals or buffets, with it's own stage, stone walls and rafters. We have a string of lightbulbs criss-crossing the rafters, giving it that shabby chic look that we love. Perfect for discos and ceilidhs.

The Byre
The Byre has all the rustic charm you could expect in such a setting. Red brick stonework on one side contrasts beautifully with the whitewashed stonework alongside the original rafters and rooftop. As you enter the smell of a peat or wood fire welcomes you. With the bar and kitchen at either end of this room, the Byre really is the central hub for any party, function or reception.

The Music Cafe
The Music Café and bistro the newly rebuilt part of Bogbain which houses regular music sessions. It has been designed and decorated to highlight that classic rustic feel. With a piano in the corner, instruments hanging on the walls and enough space to host events such as intimate concerts, talks, dinner parties or whisky tastings, it’s a great space that really captures the imagination.
The Music Cafe can seat 100 and can easily be divided into two. With the smaller room taking 40 people seated around cosy, even romantic, tables; and the larger section – which also houses our Antique Accordion museum – taking 60 people.

Bogbain is at its heart, a rootsy, earthy venue, designed to create special memories for your event.
Bogbain can cater for parties indoors ranging from 20 to 250 people.

Outdoors
Bogbain is 3 miles south of the city of Inverness with amazing views over the Moray Firth and Kessock Bridge. We are the best place in Scotland to come for stag and hen parties as we also have quad bikes, paintballing, clay pigeon shooting, archery, food and a bar all here! For your wedding, you can use all the outdoor space we have - the beer garden is great for relaxing in the sun, we have a big Playbarn for the kids to play in, and it's the perfect area if you want a BBQ and Hogroast!

More info
Bogbain has it's own kitchen so we can provide BBQs, great Highland banquets or sit down meals for you using the best produce available in the area. We have a marriage license too so if you want to get married here, even better! We really do try and help create something special for whatever event we do and we'd love to hear from Scottish Wedding HQ fans!
